An unemployed copywriter posted his resume on Googlemaps, and it’s going viral. If he doesn’t get a job for sheer creativity, it’ll only be because he listed beer, wine, and explosions among his interests.
His writing is cheekier than I’d advise for most professionals, but he’s a copywriter. They need attention in ways the rest of the world doesn’t understand.
Consider this type of resume if you:
- Work or have clients from multiple global locations.
- Can break your resume into short chunks of copy that fit comfortably in the pop-up windows.
- Are targeting employers that will appreciate this approach.
I can see this resume working well for:
- Travel writers and photographers.
- Reporters for global or large regional audiences.
- Onsite IT project managers who want to highlight national or global projects.
- Sales representatives emphasizing a large regional, national, or international territory.
